Basic Fire Safety Awareness

As per the 1981 Fire Services Act and Regulation 9 of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, the Basic Fire Safety Awareness Training is devised to build awareness on fire safety hazards, how to control a fire event, identifying the source of fire to know its type and selecting the correct fire extinguisher depending on the type of fire, to develop an effective fire safety culture at workplace.

Everyone at work has a duty to prevent fires. A fire safety culture is based on a shared set of positive attitudes, knowledge, perceptions and beliefs about fire prevention and fire protection.
